Глену Медейросу було всього 17 років, коли його романтична композиція "Nothing's Gonna Change My Love for You" ("Ніщо не змінить мого кохання до тебе") стала міжнародним хітом і винесла його на верхівку світової популярності.

Молодий співак став успішним виконавцем. Але практично на піку своєї кар"єри він зробив вибір залишити шоубізнес і стати ... вчителем!

Частково тому, що мріяв про це, а частково тому, що побачив брудну сторону поп-музики.

В одному із інтерв"ю Медейрос розповів, що він відхилив «багато пропозицій» про сексуальні стосунки, але інші погодилися.

«Ви бачили це всюди», — сказав Медейрос, який зараз працює директором школи на Гаваях.

«Чи допомогло б це зробити мене більш успішним у кар'єрі? Потенційно. Але я не хотів цього робити».

Він сказав: «У мене були друзі, які конкретно сказали: «Я збираюся переїхати до цієї людини, тому що ця людина збирається допомогти мені з моєю кар'єрою звукозапису».

«Я ніколи цього не робив і пишаюся цим, але в той же час я можу розуміти, чому це зробили інші люди. Я пам'ятаю, як розмовляв з кількома моїми друзями, які сказали: «Ця людина приваблива, і вона мені все одно подобається, так що все гаразд».

«На жаль, більшість жінок і деякі чоловіки, яких я зустрічав, їм буквально доводилося мати стосунки з іншими, щоб досягти вершини.

«Я навіть говорив про це з артистами, і вони казали: «Гей, знаєте що, я повинен робити те, що я повинен». Щодо мене, я ніколи не використовував такий підхід».

Глен з юного віку мав правильні цінності і відстоював їх у своєму житті. Чудовий приклад для всіх нас.
